TruePaper is an environmentally friendly, ultrasonically and heat-sealable paper band. TruePaper is made from at least 95% pure virgin fibre paper, it can be recycled in the normal paper cycle and is suitable for direct contact with food. This new banding product offers infinite benefits

  Banding with ATS means using only as much packaging as necessary. It is often the better alternative to conventional packaging.

  TruePaper consists of at least 95% pure virgin fibre paper and can be recycled in the regular paper cycle.

  Printed ATS bands are grade AA certified to BRCGS Packaging Materials Global Standard. The raw materials comply, among others, with the restrictions of the FDA.
   
• FSC certified
  TruePaper is also available with FSC certification.
   
• Recycling code 22 (PAP)
  The recycling code is used to identify various materials for return to the recycling stream. TruePaper can be marked with recycling code 22 (PAP).
   
• Water-based bonding agent
  TruePaper contains a water-based bonding agent  that can be sealed with ultrasonic and heatseal technology. Basically, any paper with the new bonding agent can become TruePaper.
   
• High tensile shear strength
  The tensile shear strength (sealed joint) of TruePaper is comparable to conventional banding paper coated with PP.
   
• Compliant with the Loi AGEC in France
  TruePaper is compliant with the circular economy law Loi AGEC that came into force in France in 2022.
   
• Compliant with Directive 2019/904/EU
  TruePaper is compliant with Directive 2019/904/EU on reducing the impact of certain plastic products on the environment.
   
• Suitable for ultrasonic sealing
  TruePaper is suitable for ultrasonic sealing, which is significantly more energy efficient than conventional heatseal technology.

What’s more, bands made from high-quality paper can be printed exactly as required for maximum visual appeal and just like film bands, they can also be printed with specific product information during the banding process. Furthermore, ATS Tanners’ special paper bands are also available fully FSC certified in order to meet strict US regulations.

Banding machines with extra-strong RST motors can utilise banding material that is capable of carrying 30 kg or more. Thanks to TruePaper, banding not only means significantly lower material consumption compared to the conventional variants, but also noticeably fewer manual work-steps.
