IPP SHARES IN FABER GROUP’S SUCCESS AS A TOP PERFORMING SUSTAINABILITY AND CSR BUSINESS

Leading pallet pool provider IPP has been part of the Faber Group’s successful EcoVadis accreditation, helping the Group to achieve the highest ‘Platinum’ sustainability ranking possible.

The globally recognised EcoVadis Platinum award puts the business in the top one per cent tier for its industry, with IPP having supported the Group’s continuous efforts to sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

IPP uses wooden pallets that are made of solid timber from sustainable wood sources (FSC, PEFC certified) and participate in green logistic programs like Lean & Green. The initiative aims to optimise the use of load capacity and shared transports, route-optimisation and use efficient vehicles. In 2021, IPP also launched its own ‘It’s What’s Inside That Matters’ campaign to eliminate empty running within supply chains.

Shelley Harris, commercial director at IPP, said: “Sustainability is at the heart of our business, so we are really pleased to be part of the Faber Group’s divisions contributing to the ongoing sustainability and CSR efforts of the collective business. We continue to make big strides to ensure a continual circular economy in all that we do, both with our pallets and wider collaborative logistical programs.

“Our focus now is on committing further to our material footprint reduction, contributing positively to low carbon initiatives and future net zero goals through a harmonised approach across the Faber Group.”

IPP and the Faber Group was described in the EcoVadis rankings as having a ‘comprehensive’ approach to environment, ethics and labour and human rights, with the business’ efforts in ‘sustainable procurement’ also ranking highly.

Heading into 2022, the Group will now push for even greater cross collaboration across its divisions, in a bid to retain its top one per cent Platinum CSR ranking.
