Countdown to Packaging Première Collection

The exclusive event dedicated to deluxe packaging will be held from 5 to 7 October at PAC – Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea, Milan.

Packaging Première Collection warms up the engines: from 5 to 7 October 2021 the best Italian and international manufacturers of deluxe packaging will meet in Milan at the Pavilion of Contemporary Art. Carefully selected to showcase the excellence of the sector, they will make Packaging Première Collection a real “best-of”, designed to get the business back on track and share ideas and creative ideas to bring new energy to the sector.

Created by Easyfairs Italia, the event, which will take place in a location with a strong artistic connotation, is divided into three days, each of which is dedicated to specific sectors: starting from cosmetics and perfumes, fine food, wine & spirits and then moving on to fashion, accessories and jewelry and ending with paper, cardboard, finishing and coating materials.

Paper will again be the protagonist within the “Classici in Carta” project, in collaboration with the European Institute of Design in Florence. The creative flair of the students, supervised by the teacher Laura Moretti within the module dedicated to Polygraphic and Material Techniques, led them to experiment, manipulate, shape, interpret paper “beyond the usual” to be able to re-interpret in a creative and innovative way the covers of great classics such as the Odyssey, the Divine Comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Metamorphoses, Pinocchio but also The Three Little Pigs, Pippi Longstocking, Gulliver’s Travels, Frankenstein, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – to name a few. The works will be exhibited for the entire duration of the Packaging Première Collection within the exhibition itinerary.

“Packaging Première Collection was created with the aim of presenting industry trends in a unique and highly evocative context, to increase business opportunities and the development of new projects”, says Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder and Director of Packaging Première.

Of note, on the third day dedicated to paper, the presence of important institutions such as Comieco (National Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Cellulose-based Packaging) and Aticelca (Association that brings together technicians and experts working in the paper industry) as well as two brands that represent excellence in the field of wallpaper: London Art and Jannelli & Volpi.
