watttron – something hot for your ears

Announcement podcast series around the topic of packaging and sustainability.

watttron was founded with the vision of revolutionizing the packaging world and making it more sustainable. However, this vision does not end with the sale of our digital heater systems. Our heaters are just one part of the circular economy.

Especially in Corona times, the value of a safely packaged consumer good has increased significantly again. It is important to us to initiate changes in the market and contribute to a positive development. The various views and perspectives on the subject of packaging in particular are therefore a decisive factor. It’s about the complete value chain from production to disposal of the packaging.

One year ago, we started to get in touch with different partners along the entire value chain and ask them about their views on the subject. We are proud to present our first own podcast series “Packolution” (= Packaging + Revolution) today.

The episodes are now available for listening:

In episode 1, we made an interview with Gaelle Leray, Dept. Global Packaging R&D, from the Nestle company. She answered key questions such as “Is a world without plastic possible?” and “How do we best deal with plastic?”. “An important concern for us is that the podcast not only addresses experts, but also consumers, because they are an important driver and essential part of the circular economy,” says Marcus Stein, CEO of watttron GmbH.

We have currently recorded 10 podcast episodes. In addition to Nestlé, the other interviews feature people ranging from film manufacturers to recyclers. The various episodes were recorded with Michaela Wachtel, COO of watttron GmbH and Ton Knipscheer, head of Sales.

The Saxon technology startup watttron develops and produces novel heating systems that are used in industrial processes for precise temperature control. The patented heating technology enables, among other things, the optimization of packaging in terms of material and energy use. The process allows precise temperature control even for large areas to be heated, thus facilitating the processing of bio-based and recycled materials. Sustainability and efficiency, especially in packaging, are precisely the issues that drive watttron. Resources can be saved by using watttron technology.
